It’s a weekend, a Sunday morning. The day for rest, lie-ins and walks in the park. You eventually arise from your bed, with a huge amount of reluctance. Do you feel up for making breakfast? Probably not. For just one day in the week you’d prefer to have a breakfast prepared for you and take as much time as you want to eat it. I’m sure we have all been to a café that does a good breakfast and you’d go to the same place again, maybe not every Sunday but once a month maybe.
Crystal Palace has exploded with lots of new bars, restaurants, pubs and cafes over the last few years, and there is one place I go to more often. LWS café is a busy place on a Sunday morning and one of its biggest attractions is what you see in the windows. Along one length of windows are cakes and pastries that are crying out to be brought. It is like bakery heaven! How can anyone resist buying something to take away or eat with their tea or coffee? I have stood there for a few minutes at times carefully choosing just one thing to take away and eat later.
LWS Café caters for anyone who wants a table for breakfast from the Brunch menu or just a tea or coffee. I have always been on Sunday and it does get very busy. There are several good quality options on the menu ranging from the small to full on hearty cooked breakfasts. I have tried a few different things and all I would happily order again.
The waffles and pancakes just look like heaven don’t they. I mean this is what you call a delightful breakfast. The homemade orange juice is very good too and a range of teas is available. There are a few seats outside, handy for the summer months, with table water provided for every customer.
LWS Café is my number one on my doorstep for breakfast. I’ve never been left disappointed with the quality of the food or the choice available. Plus you can pick up something sweet to take away with you for later, which is the cherry on the cake. What good café or place for breakfast is on your doorstep?
P.S. LWS stands for Living Water Supply.
